October 2007

The removal and relocation of the existing Storm Drains, Water and Gas Lines was completed. The excavation of the building foundations and footing began at the Northwest end of the building and will work towards the Southeast. During the excavation we encountered extensive fill materials that had to be removed. A study was initiated to determine the extent of the added fill materials. This was accomplished by taking additional boring samples to map the existing fill. Overtime work was requested and began on Oct. 17, 2007 and scheduled to continue for approximately 2 months (Dec. 15, 2007).

November 2007

Relocation of the existing Steam Line is on-going and is scheduled to be completed in December. Building excavation and structural backfill is continuing. Due to the extent of unknown fill materials the excavation and backfill operations have set back the start dates for the underground utilities for the buildings. The relocation of the existing Steam Line began with the completion scheduled in approximately a month’s time.

December 2007

The building pad excavation and backfill operation was completed for the main building. The installation of underground utilities to the building began and the relocation of the Steam Line was on-going. Work resumed on the installation of the new storm drain and sanitary sewer lines along the West side of the site and began for the installation of conduit and vaults for the new electrical service to the site.

January 2008

Completed the excavation and backfill operation for the Utility Building; continue the installation of building site utilities. Begin the foundations and elevator pits for the first section of the main building and the retaining wall along the south side of the building. Continue the west side storm drain and sanitary sewer installation and begin the tie-in to the existing utilities that are located along Bringham and Gorham Avenues.

February 2008

Utility connections Bringham and Gorham Avenues were completed. Underground building utilities continued with the main power feed to the property extended to building “E”. Foundation work continued for the main building with the trenching and placement of re-enforcing steel for footing in the northern third of the building and concrete being placed. DWP work along Bringham and Montana is on going and still scheduled to be completed in April.

March 2008

Setting reinforcing steel continued for the building foundations, under slab on grade utilities began installation in the northern portion of the main building and was followed by the slab on grade pours. Both will continue towards the southern portion of the building as the foundations are completed for each section. Work is continuing on the southern retaining wall as work move forward on the basement and loading dock foundations. Fire water line installation continued on site. DWP work along Bringham and Montana is on going and still scheduled to be completed in April.

April 2008 Lookahead

Work on foundations, under slab utilities and slab on grade pours will continue during the month. Basement footings and wall construction will continue and the retaining walls will be completed. Excavation for the utility building foundations is set to begin in mid-month. Structural steel will also begin arriving mid-month with erection beginning the week of April 18th.
